Can you tell me what this guy really does?










He doesn't rap. He doesn't sing. What is it about this dude and his music that people in the Gospel world are going crazy over?

I worked a concert of his a couple weeks ago here in Grand Rapids. I see him as something like a band-leader, or maybe a promoter. He puts the show on. Maybe he just has the biggest vision for incorporating hip-hop elements into a traditional gospel music program. I don't follow that genre closely enough to evaluate what makes him different from all the rest, but I can't imagine too many other artists in that style booking shows at the Van Andel Arena (though they didn't even fill it to half of capacity... around 3500 showed up, but they were enthusiastic.)
